The Latest...

Wow! I am not good at keeping up with this thing, ha, ha, ha.
Here are the latest happenings with our family; we have our Escalade back as of last night (as many of you know it was wrecked a month ago. All involved were fine). It is so nice to be driving an all-wheel drive in the snow again :) We are also in the middle of a bathroom renovation. We found some water damage and a small amount of mold in the shower area and decided to just take on the whole bathroom. We were going to be taking most of it apart anyways. It is going to be wonderful when it is finished! I will try and post some pics.

As for the adoption, Danny and I both still have to write our autobiographies for the home study. (They have kindof taken a back seat with everything else going on.) When they are completed we will be able to have our interviews with our case worker.

We have really felt like the Lord has written a certain country on our hearts. The doors have since been temporarily closed. The govt. changed the adoptive parents minimum age to 35. In this country the govt dictates almost all facets of the orphanages and the adoption process and is the only one who can change these ages. They are holding some elections in April and May and then the big Presidential election will be held in November. Please pray that God would open the doors, not only for us but for whomever God would place in the elected positions. This is a very corrupt country with over a million orphans, all involved need God's provision and timing.

We are still fundraising, with our cakes and breakfast burritos, and moving forward. Our other babies are out there somewhere, we just need to have faith that God will show us exactly when to move and in what way.

Father God is our Provision and our Provider, our Protector and our Healer! Praise Him for all He has done!!!

Blessings!
Kelly

These are of the kids new "toy" from Auntie Al and Uncle Karl. We took the pool down for the winter and now our TeePee occupies the crop circle :)

Nothing much else new. Hope to get our Home Study Application in the mail today :)

New Exciting Times

Well, as most of you know we are adopting! This is a new, scary, exciting, faith-testing time for our entire family. We have been asked why? My answer: because God told us to. He calls his people to care for the widows and orphans. Who am I to say no to something so specifically stated! or how can you afford to adopt? My answer: We can't. But God can. If we trust in Him and let Him lead He will make a way. His ways are not our ways.

Danny got a word at church yesterday...this is part of it:

"We cannot out think God! If we are obedient, no matter what, the blessings will overflow!!!
Faith is believing God is who He says He is and He will do what He says He will do.
God works in the supernatural and there is no rationalization in the supernatural.
Rationalization contradicts/conflicts/interferes with faith.
Obedience is fulfilling God's instruction through faith!
Obedience vs. Disobedience is the difference between Faith or Rationalization of God's will and instructions."

God has been telling me:
"You don't have to keep reaching. Your house doesn't have to be perfectly clean, remodeled, etc. You don't always have to have everyone ready on time and be patient and calm with it all. Stop striving and know that I am God and when I ordain something, in your obedience, it will come to pass!"

We have known that wanted to adopt since Brynnlin was born. We were blessed with two beautiful children. We said that there are so many kids that need good homes and a loving family that we will be done "having" our own and let God lead us to our next child/children.

Now, after years of prayers and petition we finally felt led to start the process. Last week we officially started our adoption fundraiser. We are making and selling homemade breakfast burritos (we've made six dozen in two days), and I am making special occasion cakes. God has already been blessing us and opening many doors.

We are not sure what will be next. Right now it is the fundraising and donations. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. Until then, God Bless!

Welcome!

Welcome to our family's blog. I started this so that our friends and family around the US can keep tabs on what is going on here.

All I can say is our family is truly blessed! God is good and He has been faithful in keeping us and providing for us. He is taking us to new heights in our relationship with Him and we can't wait to see what He has for our family next!

Keep in touch and check back regularly. I hope to post new things often.

God Bless!
Kelly
